The Menu bar on the Compare Files window consists of the following menus:

•Options

•Search

•View

 

File

The File Menu contains the commands to compare files, print the result, and navigate back to the previous window.

Options

The Options Menu contains the settings that control how the program compares the files and displays the differences.

Search

The Search Menu contains the commands to navigate the differences, search for text, and manage bookmarks.

View

The View Menu contains settings that you can use to control what the program shows in the comparison results panes.  It also contains commands to open the files in their associated applications or in Notepad.

 

Note that most of these actions are available on the Toolbar also.
